New Gen designers who had been selected among the graduates of Istanbul Fashion Academy took part in the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Istanbul catwalk with a fashion show called “Pioneering Designers II” where they fly with their own wings.
Collections of 2 young designers were presented at the fashion show which is supported by Istanbul Apparel Exporters Association (IHKIB).
EMRE PAKEL SPRING-SUMMER 2020 COLLECTION:
Emre Pakel's spring-summer 2020 collection, namely "Pakel Cooperation" deals with a free new Japanese street style in response to the world-renowned Hollywood styles of the United States. With the original stance of Japanese street fashion, the bombs end in America instead of Hiroshima. Instead, the young and dynamic male style of electro culture, which is separated by its own styles, stands out in the subculture group of the Far East.
About Emre Pakel:
Emre Pakel was born in 1992. He completed his primary and secondary education in Doğa Koleji and Woodinville High school. After he studied German Language and Literature in Ankara, he was entitled to enrol Başkent University Fashion Design at Fine Arts Faculty with a full scholarship and finished his school as first degree in 2017. He continued his education at İstanbul Moda Academy Fashion Design and Marketing programme same year. He’s going to continue his education next year at Central Saint Martins Graduate Diploma Program. He’s rewarded the secondary prize at 5. DENIB Home and Beach Wear Design Contest and he’s also the first winner of EIB Fashion Design Contest at 2017. He worked as an intern at Tuvana Büyükçınar and Beymen-Academia. He was also the assistant designer for Designer Nihan Buruk and menwswear brand Damat-Tween. Sanayi Nefise İstanbul brand’s first collection was presented with the designer’s own name.
SEYDULLAH YILMAZ 2020 SPRING SUMMER COLLECTION:
Seydullah Yilmaz's spring-summer 2020 collection combines the Aerodynamics Dadaism movement with the currents of retro-futurism and futurism, reflecting how aerodynamics was used in the past and in the future. Following an experimental method in the forms of their designs, the designer aims to provide heat management into clothes with aerodynamics. Bringing a different interpretation to the usage of fabrics, the designer showed that the fiber does not only end with the air and heat, but also the same heat and air balance can be formed.
About Seydullah Yılmaz:
Seydullah Yılmaz was born in 1993 in Kayseri. After having completed primary and secondary school in Kayseri, his education continued at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University the Department of Textile and Fashion Design between 2012-2018. He participated in various workshops. Project of Bag Design with Tergan, Erdek Municipality and Natural Art Project in Natural Environment, Adana Innovation Week “Life depends on cotton yarn in Çukurova.” Project and Design Foundation with Mardin-Midyat Heritage Symbols Project. Being one of the 10 finalists of KOZA competition, he showcased at the fashion show at the gala night of the competition.
